Chief Executive Officer, UA Venture Capital
UAVenture Capital was founded by Fletcher J. McCusker and Michael Deitch, the CEO, CFO team at SinfoníaRx and also the duo behind the startup to IPO of Tucson based Providence Service Corporation (Nasdaq: PRSC). As Chairman of the Rio Nuevo District (downtown Tucson’s revitalization board) Fletcher is credited with spearheading much of the development downtown since moving downtown in 2010.
Fletcher is a UofA alumnus of the year, holds an honorary Doctorate awarded in 2014, endowed the Public Programs Chair, scholarships a member of the tennis team and sits on several UofA advisory boards.
Managing Director, Miramar Ventures
David is the Managing Partner in Miramar Ventures, LLC, a firm involved in real estate, private equity, and venture capital investments. Miramar Ventures is also an active investor in angel and early stage ventures – many with close ties to the University of Arizona and/or the Desert Angels of Southern Arizona.
In addition to serving as a board member of TREO, David is also on the boards of BBVA Compass Bank, The National Law Center for Inter-American Free Trade, and the Tucson Medical Center Foundation and he is an Executive Board Member of the Desert Angels. David is also a trustee of both the Arizona-Sonoran Desert Museum and Salpointe Catholic High School and is a member of the Tucson Airport Authority, the Tucson Conquistadores, and the DM50.
Harry has more than 35 years experience in founding, operating and investing in successful rapid growth technology-related companies. He co-founded Solstice Capital. Previously, from 1981 to 1989, Mr. George was co-founder, Director, and Vice-President of Finance for Interleaf Inc. During this time, Interleaf, a pioneer in electronic publishing, grew to be a publicly traded company with $100 million in annual revenue.
From 1996 to 2003, he was a Trustee of the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum, and he currently serves as its Vice Chair of Treasure the Desert Capital Campaign. He is also a Trustee of the Tucson Museum of Art and serves as secretary-treasurer for the museum. He received an AB from Bowdoin College.

Joann is the Senior Director of Venture Development for the University of Arizona’s Tech Launch Arizona (TLA), focused on the commercialization of UA IP through the development of startup companies. She has served as a startup founder, mentor, investor, and educator. She is passionate about regional ecosystem development and is a recipient of the Larry Hecker and Sherry Hoskinson Lasting Community Builder Award. She is an AUTM Board member and UA Academic Leadership Institute Fellow, and previously served as President of the Arizona Business Incubation Association. She returned home to Tucson in 2000 after living and working in Europe for over a decade and holds an MBA from Edinburgh University Scotland.
