Welcome back to the #StartupScoop -- the best way to stay in the Startup Tucson loop. Last week we taught you all about our new Startup Labs (seats still available for Monday, 7/1), but this week is all about the Course Catalogue. We took a step back and looked for a new approach to bring our entrepreneurs the education pieces they need in the most efficient and effective way for our ecosystem. So we came up with the Startup Tucson Course Catalogue to ensure the highest quality educational experience for our entrepreneurs and world-class instructors by putting them in the driver’s seat for Tucson’s entrepreneurial education.
The idea behind the Startup Tucson Course Catalogue is to give our partners and the community a chance to advertise their entrepreneurial education courses in a platform where customers can express an interest in the topics before an actual class is scheduled. This also gives our entrepreneurs to lead where our curriculum goes based on a consensus through filled classes. This approach is helping lead toward fuller sessions that will bring startups together with each other and build closer relationships with community leaders hosting these courses.
All courses sent to Startup Tucson is presented to a sub committee of the Startup Tucson Advisory Committee to decide whether or not the course is aligned with our ecosystem and the needs within it. Our committee meets quarterly to review all submitted courses. They will be meeting in July, so submit your course applications NOW!
Here is a step by step break down of what it would look like to post a course through our Course Catalogue -
2. Wait for it.. Wait for it.. (Your application will be processed during a quarterly meeting)
3. If your course is accepted, it will be listed in our public facing course catalogue.
4. After your course receives interest from enough entrepreneurs, the date and time will be scheduled.
5. Bless the ecosystem and our community with your knowledge!!!
Startup Tucson is dedicated to ensuring the entrepreneurs in Tucson feel as if they have the resources they need. If you’re struggling in a specific area and would like to see a dedicated course in the Startup Tucson Course Catalogue shoot us an email!
