TENWEST Impact Festival helps the curious and the impassioned solve the great challenges facing our community by inspiring ideas and facilitating connections that empower them to act.
With 10 days of amazing activities to choose from, it’s natural to become a little overwhelmed - but don’t worry. Here’s just a little taste of what you can discover when you join us in October.
10. Discover New Flavors
One of Tucson’s most beloved festivals, Tucson Meet Yourself, serves as the gateway to the TENWEST Impact Festival. It’s your chance to eat your way through all sorts of delicacies from around the world.
Come say hi at our TENWEST tent where we’ll have fun games, exciting micro workshops, crafts, and educational activities in partnership with Local First, the Agave Heritage Festival, the City of Gastronomy, and the U of A.
9. Discover How We Grow an Innovative Tucson
Mayor Jonathan Rothschild is bringing together some of our country's most trailblazing mayors for a symposium called "Building Innovative Cities," where we’ll learn cutting edge practices from other cities bound to skyrocket the old pueblo into the future.
If you thought your smartphone, your Alexa or your Google Home was the future, just wait until you hear about “smart cities!”
8. Discover Solutions to Our Region’s Problems
Through various keynotes, luncheons, happy hours, hackathons and partner conferences, you’ll discover the various problems we’re facing in the region, what we’re currently doing about them, and how you can help.
Get involved and share your solutions during our various networking events throughout the festival.
7. Discover Cutting Edge Arts & Culture
We’ll celebrate the arts and culture of Southern Arizona with a multi-disciplinary presentation that explores the intersection of art, music, and technology.
Artists and creatives will also have a chance to hone their entrepreneurial skills to make a bigger impact with their creations - an impact that only helps to drive further economic growth throughout the region.
6. Discover New Voices
You’ll get a chance to hear from incredible speakers every day, speaking on a range of topics like innovation, sustainability, creativity, education, raising capital, smart cities, the 4th industrial revolution and much, much more. I mean, there’s just so much going on!
5. Discover Storytelling Secrets
We’ve been telling each other stories for millennia - it’s just the way we are wired. So it’s not surprising that we’re ecstatic about bringing Pixar to TENWEST this year to help educators discover the storytelling secrets behind some of the most successful animated films of all time.
4. Discover the 4th Industrial Revolution
The future is now, and you won’t want to be left behind! Learn how technologies such as AI and automation will create the world of the future, fusing the physical, digital and biological world together into the world we’ll inhabit in the future.
3. Discover Sustainability and Social Impact
For the future to arrive, we must prepare. Learn how you can have an impact during our Sustainability & Social Impact Summit where you’ll hear from thought-leaders from diverse industries and how they are trying to make the world a better place for future generations.
