With a range of state-of-the-art equipment and resources, it's designed to support community-based small businesses and startups in their development and innovation processes. This facility is exclusively available to Startup Tucson members as part of our ongoing commitment to fostering local entrepreneurship.

Welcome to the Launch Lab!


Our state-of-the-art Prototyping Lab is complete with the tools, software, space, and specialists to take your business to the next level. This suite of resources is an over $50,000 savings and an invaluable opportunity to put your product's design and usability to the test. 

We accomplished much more than anticipated when we signed up for the program! The resources from Startup Tucson have given us a huge advantage in rapid prototyping and iteration without the massive costs associated with owning equipment and lab space.

Media Studio

Fully-equipped for your multi-media content creation needs, the Media Studio will have you walking away with digital assets to use the very same day. The Media Studio's equipment and software is valued at over $50,000 and access to it is sure to keep your business on budget.

I was really excited to have access to tools that I really need in my business for an extended period of time without a cost. I've used the media lab the most. It has been an invaluable resource for me and such a great opportunity for entrepreneurs!

How it works
  • Startup Lab 101
    Startup Labs is our orientation course, designed to help you start building a solid foundation for your business plan. ​ This course if offered monthly. Once you complete the course you are eligible to join our free Network Membership program.
  • Business Basics and Financial Foundations | 102
    Does the thought of looking at the “numbers” make your head spin? Are you worried about running out of money or not quite sure how to calculate your product or business profitability? Overcoming these obstacles at the beginning of your entrepreneurial journey can save you time and accelerate the success of your business. This will be an interactive workshop where you learn a few key tools (and questions!) to improve your financial skills as a business owner. Participants will learn how to: - understand their cash flow cycle and forecast - understand a P and L and calculating product profitability - determine business break even analysis and fixed costs - overcoming challenging revenue models - creating reoccurring and passive revenue - how to work with your bookkeeper, accountant or CPA Fundamentals 102 is part of the Startup Fundamentals, a series that covers foundations to start or grow a business.
  • Discover Your Competition & Develop Your Special Sauce (UVP) | 103
    After you identify your problem and start talking to your customer, you need to check out the competition. And not just what they're doing, but what you do differently in your business. Fundamentals 103 is a 2-hr class designed to give entrepreneurs the opportunity to identify your competition and develop your unique value proposition. When you leave this class you will have a clear sense of who your competitors are in your direct & indirect market and identify exactly what sets you apart from your competition. Fundamentals 103 is part of the Startup Fundamentals, a series that covers foundations to start or grow a business.
  • Understanding Your Customer | 104
    Using proven research, we will help you to identify your target market customer, create a customer avatar to help you narrow in on the best way to connect with your customer and develop the beginning stages of your marketing plan. When you leave this class, you will have a clear sense of who your customers really are, how to connect with them and how to conduct customer interviews. You will also leave with a clear understanding of how to research your total market addressable market. This class is packed with all the tools you need to take you to the next step in creating or pivoting to a successful sustainable business. Fundamentals 104 is part of the Startup Fundamentals, a series that covers foundations to start or grow a business.
  • Test and Validate Your Business | 105
    Make data-informed decisions, without wasting valuable time or money. In Fundamentals 105, we will teach you how to create small, low-cost experiments to validate your idea/business, market, and target customer so that you can make decisive business choices with confidence. You will walk away with a completed lean canvas, something that you will be very familiar with by Fundamentals 105. At this point, you will understand your competition, your special sauce, your customer, and now you're ready to focus on your launch timeline. In Fundamentals 105, you will: - Learn how to validate your product - Learn how to build and run a lean experiment Fundamentals 105 is part of the Startup Fundamentals, a series that covers foundations to start or grow a business.
  • Graduation + Pitch Demo Day
    Time to share your idea with the world! Each company will do a 3-5 minute pitch in front of an audience of mentors and peers and then recieve their Startup Tucson Fundamentals certificate. This is a celebration of all of the hard work you have done in the past weeks to grow and launch your new idea!
